ff and went over to grovel, then wrote the required-by-Honda subjugated grovelly written letter, all to no avail. Honda doesn't feel that MO "represents the Honda brand" in a manner they find acceptable -- read into that what you will, we care not. The point? There isn't one. If they don't give us a bike soon, we're just going to buy one as soon as Honda gets their production straightened out -- if they were making bikes we already would've, and you wouldn't be reading this right now.
The industry's first off-the-cuff reaction was negative, everyone waffled on supplying bikes to our delayed test, but then, seemingly all at once, the proverbial "we can get MORE content placement out of MO without Honda competing for resources" lightbulb went off, and goodwill seemed to flow our way:
